Very excited to get home from Israel to find my shiny new Clear card waiting for me.

When I announced I was back on the market last June, there were some questions I had to answer. Mainly, what did I want to do next. Yeah, I know – start with a biggie.
I interviewed with a lot of companies. I was extremely fortunate to have received more than my fair share of offers. There were some really good opportunities presented, but honestly – nothing felt exactly right…until now.
Time to raise the curtain on what I am doing. This morning my company, my6sense, launched at the Under The Radar event in Mountain View, CA.
And I couldn’t be more excited.
It is a small ambitious team, tackling a very big idea (’information overload’). It is also a product/service I will actually use, which was a key factor in my decision. Best of all, they understand and appreciate the work Chris and I have put into building Social Media Club and they want me to continue with that too. Score!
So I am dusting off my keyboard and getting back to work, albeit part time to start, but I am working. Woot.
I have become a fan of Keith Olbermann as of late. Not sure when I actually started Tivo’ing his show, but he is one news guy I make an effort to pay attention to.
This video is a large reason why. Hot topic. Smart commentary. Level head. Well done Keith. Thank you.
We Californians are a strange breed for sure. We care about the rights of chickens (Prop 2). We helped put a black man in the White House (go Obama!). We even got a petition signed to rename the Oceanside Treatment Plant to the George W. Bush sewage plant (made me laugh).
And we Californians allowed the passage of Prop 8, thereby banning same sex marriages. W.T.F. ???
I find it simply amazing we Californians will fight for animal rights, but we cannot come together to fight for civil rights of all who live in this state. While Prop 8 passed by a small margin (about 400k votes which is not a lot), the fact is it passed in the state of California, and that is a shame.
Last night I marched down Market Street with 5k+ folks, showing my support around the request that California overturn Prop 8. It is no longer about hetero vs. homo. It is about civil rights of all.
Many compare this to the African American community standing up in the 60’s to fight to receive the same rights as white folks, or women fighting for the right to vote. I think this is a pretty darn good comparison. This is a civil 9 not a religious or otherwise – issue.
I can’t imagine someone telling me I could not marry Heuer, the person I love. I should not have the right to tell someone else who they can and cannot marry.
We are a nation in change. Not just in politics, but in how we see and treat one another. Let’s treat one another fairly. With respect. With love.
…
Barack Obama!!
Thank you America!
It was great to sit around the boob tube last night with a room full of friends as CNN.com called the election for Obama. The excitement in the air was simply incredible. The champagne – ok, sparkling wine – flowed, hugs abounded, laughter ensued.
We all spoke of getting a second chance. There was a sense the collective ‘we’ would be ok. It is hard to explain, but the feeling in Tom’s living room was undeniable. Euphoria.
…went through my blog drafts folder and found 35+ posts I have started to write and didn’t finish for one reason or another.
Thinking it is time I either shit or get off the pot.
If you start to see a lot of older posts hit your reader over the next couple of weeks, you will know I decided to do the former. Ha.
