One of the things I love about living in Incline Village is how many ways there are to get outside and enjoy where we live. Now local riders have an even better place to do exactly that.

The Holman Family Bike Park is officially back, and on Friday evening, community members gathered for a ribbon-cutting celebration marking the reopening of the expanded and improved park.

Originally opened in 2017, the bike park was created through a partnership involving the Incline Bike Project, Incline Tahoe Foundation and IVGID, with significant support from the Holman family and other community donors. The latest phase completes the park’s original design with a new advanced pump track, while additional donor funding also allowed for the reinstatement of the park’s flow track jump lines.

Today, the park offers a pump track, beginner and intermediate flow lines and jumps, with riding opportunities designed for a range of ages and skill levels. The park is free to use and open during daylight hours, conditions permitting.

A big round of thanks goes to the Holman family, Incline Tahoe Foundation, IVGID and the many donors, volunteers and local advocates who invested their time, energy and money into creating a place where riders can build their skills, challenge themselves and simply let loose.

It is also a great example of something I think makes Incline Village special. Living here isn't only about being close to Lake Tahoe. It is about having trails, parks, beaches, recreation facilities and community amenities woven into everyday life, along with people who are willing to invest in making those amenities better.
