There is a difference between finding a house that checks the boxes and finding a place that feels like home.
When my clients began looking in Reno, they had a pretty specific wish list. They wanted beautiful views of Mt. Rose, but they were also looking for something that can be harder to find: a neighborhood with a genuine sense of community.
Living in Incline Village had given them an appreciation for having recreation, activities and opportunities to connect with neighbors right outside their door. As we explored different areas of Reno, we were looking for a community that could offer some of that same lifestyle.
Within just a few days, we found Caramella Ranch. And then we found 2225 Paint Horse.
The home checked the boxes they had come to Reno hoping to find, including the views of Mt. Rose that were high on their list. But what made Caramella Ranch especially compelling was everything beyond the property itself.
The community has its own Recreation Center and offers residents a variety of ways to get involved and meet their neighbors, including tennis and pickleball, aquatic activities, concerts, board games and other community events.
For my clients, that mattered.
Buying a home is about much more than bedrooms, bathrooms and square footage. You are also choosing the neighborhood you will wake up in every morning, the people you may eventually call friends and the lifestyle that exists beyond your front door.
One of the nicest parts of this story has actually happened since they purchased the home.
Their new neighbors have already stepped up to welcome them, answer questions and help them acclimate to Caramella Ranch. They aren't simply settling into a new house. They are becoming part of a new community.
That is exactly what we were hoping to find when we started looking.
I spend most of my time helping clients buy and sell homes in Incline Village and the Lake Tahoe area, but sometimes the right home takes us a little farther down the mountain. What doesn't change is how I approach the search.
The goal isn't simply to find a property. It's to understand how you want to live, and then find the place that makes that possible.
For these clients, that place turned out to be 2225 Paint Horse in Caramella Ranch.
