The Incline Village REALTORS® recently secured a Housing Opportunity Grant to bring together real estate professionals, policymakers, and community stakeholders for a regional housing forum in Incline Village. The purpose was simple but important: create space for productive, solution-focused dialogue around housing access across the basin.

This effort extended well beyond one organization. Partners included the Nevada REALTORS®, Sierra Nevada REALTORS®, South Tahoe Association of REALTORS®, and the Tahoe Resort Alliance. Together, they addressed the realities shaping the local market, including workforce housing shortages, evolving short-term rental policies, and the complexity of operating across state lines and regulatory frameworks.

What makes this work impactful is the level of coordination. Tahoe is not a single market in the traditional sense. It spans jurisdictions, policies, and competing priorities, which makes alignment essential. Bringing these groups together is a necessary step toward identifying practical, region-wide solutions.

In a market where demand continues to outpace supply, this kind of collaboration plays a critical role in shaping how housing evolves over time.
