Apollo

Welcome to Apollo

Apollo is Incline Village’s highest-elevation neighborhood, located just off Mount Rose Highway and offering a true alpine setting above North Lake Tahoe. Sitting at roughly 7,200 feet, this small residential enclave delivers a quieter, more private mountain lifestyle, with many homes enjoying sweeping views that extend across Lake Tahoe and the surrounding peaks.

The neighborhood is predominantly owner-occupied, which contributes to a strong sense of community and long-term stewardship. Residents regularly walk the gently winding streets - often stopping to chat with neighbors, giving Apollo a friendly, lived-in feel despite its tucked-away location. Street names like Galaxy, Jupiter, and Saturn nod to the neighborhood’s elevated perch and add to its distinct character.

Outdoor access is one of Apollo’s defining features. Multiple hiking trails weave directly through the neighborhood and connect to the Mount Rose Wilderness, making it easy to step into nature without ever getting in a car. Large adjacent U.S. Forest Service parcels, many of them unbuildable, help preserve privacy, open space, and the feeling of living immersed in the forest.

While Apollo does experience more snowfall than lower elevations in Incline Village, it remains very functional year-round. Apollo Way serves as a school bus route and receives priority plowing, which is an important consideration for full-time residents. In terms of convenience, the neighborhood is closer to town than many buyers expect, approximately 2.4 miles to Raley’s, 2.5 miles to the Christmas Tree Village shopping center, about 3 miles to the Hyatt, and just over 3 miles to Incline Beach.

For winter enthusiasts, Apollo offers quick access to both Diamond Peak Ski Resort and Mt. Rose Ski Tahoe, making it especially appealing to those who prioritize skiing and snow sports. With a limited number of homes and a setting that balances privacy, views, and community, Apollo stands out as one of Incline Village’s most distinctive and tightly held neighborhoods.
